DPDPA 2023: This Privacy Policy is aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We act as a Data Fiduciary in respect of personal data you share with us.

Taxation360 (operating at Taxation360.in) is an independent tax knowledge platform providing structured information on GST, Income Tax, case laws and compliance matters in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal data when you visit or interact with our website.

2. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide Voluntarily:

  • Contact Form: Name, email address, phone number, subject and message when you reach out to us.
  • Consultation Request: Name, email, phone, business type and details of your compliance query.
  • Ask a Question: Name, email and your tax-related question submitted via the platform.

b) Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, referring URL, browser type, device type and IP address.
  • Cookies: Session cookies for platform functionality. See our cookie section below for details.
  • Analytics: Aggregated, anonymised traffic data via Google Analytics (if enabled).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your contact form submissions and general queries
  • Processing consultation or advisory service requests
  • Improving the content, structure and usability of the Platform
  • Sending relevant compliance updates or newsletters, where you have opted in
  • Ensuring platform security and preventing fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Fulfilling any legal or regulatory obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of: (a) your consent where you have submitted a form or opted into communications; (b) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Platform; and (c) compliance with legal obligations under applicable Indian laws including the DPDPA 2023, IT Act 2000 and related rules.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Taxation360 Advisory: If you request compliance services, your contact details are shared with our affiliated advisory practice for service delivery.
  • Legal Professionals: If you engage for legal interpretation or representation, relevant details are shared with the engaged advocate.
  • Service Providers: Trusted hosting, email and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Law Enforcement: Where required by a court order, government authority, or applicable law in India.

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies required for the Platform to function (e.g., form session handling). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, this may affect the functionality of certain features. We do not use cookie consent pop-ups for essential cookies, which are strictly necessary under applicable guidelines.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Contact and consultation form submissions are typically retained for up to 3 years for service continuity and legal record purposes, after which they are securely deleted.

8. Your Rights

Under the DPDPA 2023 and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data where there is no legitimate reason to retain it
  • Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for communications at any time
  • Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see Section 10)

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Our platform is served over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to authorised personnel only. While we follow best practices, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we encourage you not to share sensitive financial or ID information via the contact form.

10. Grievance Officer & Contact
